All G320/340 reed engines now come with a V2 reed case as well as reed valve. The V2 case has been redesigned to produce more power and eliminate the need for a mesh mod without effecting cooling or air flow.
The OBR signature series line is our newest line up of engines which is the absolute best that we have to offer. You can expect power to match any of big tuners out there if not more. Compared to a full mod you can expect quite a bit more overall power as well as torque. We do all of the same porting as our full mods as well as additional piston modifications, crankcase modifications, and cylinder modifications. We've modified absolutely everything possible to increase power without sacrificing reliability.
Our signatures series has become our premiere race engine and can be special ordered and tuned for any type of racing. In the short time since it's release the signature series line has become a dominate force on the race track. With some of the top pro's in the sport now running signature series engine they've picked up wins as well as TQ in the largest race of the year the West Coast Nationals as well as several other events.
OBR billet intake manifold for all engines 22.5cc through 30.5cc. We've found the big down side to a billet intake manifold is the transfer of heat from the cylinder to the carb. We've done a thick isolator similar to our V2 reed which has proven to not transfer heat or leak. Match porting to the cylinder has been improved over the stock intake manifold. You will need to use carb bolts about 5mm longer then your currently using due to the thickness of the isolator.

Intake tract, reed valve and transfer bowls were in-house flow tested and dyno tested to produce as much power as possible. You can expect to see a lot more torque and mid range power then a piston port 46/47cc without a loss in rpm's. We've used high quality carbon fiber reed petals for more power and longer life then fiberglass petals.

46/47cc reed engine for the Primal MT. You have the option to add a mounting kit and exhaust header to make it a complete package that is ready to bolt up and run. Mounting kit is required to install the 46/47cc reed engine. Our exhaust header requires use of the stock pipe. We hope to have a complete tuned pipe in the near future.

The Brian Schapiro signature seriesJethro34FR has been in development for over eight years. The heart of the engine is a full circle +2mm stroker crankshaft, forged connecting rod and billet aluminum reed case. This combination offers maximum performance with the ultimate in durability.
It started with pushing the limits with speed runs with an HPI Baja. I needed an engine that had great bottom end and mid range torque that was able to scream with big RPM on top. We were the first large scale car to run 95+mph with a motor under 35cc. At the same time I started racing a 4wd Losi. I needed the same results from my engine. OBR and myself have thousands of hours into product development on the track and on the dyno. Numerous podium finishes, race wins and National championships. TheJethro34FR edition signature series does it all very well. Whether you run a Losi, Vekta or Baja you can expect massive bottom end torque that will throw gobs of earth and dirt while on its way to peak RPM. Introducing the OBR 35.7cc Magnum engine, a game-changer in the world of RC Car and Goped engines!
It's been a long road with this engine and after several years of development it's finally here! It's taken longer than expected but we wanted to make sure it was absolutely perfect before it made it to the public. Knowingly sending out engines with issues to customers and letting them deal with failures on their dime isn't our style. Lets just say there will not be a V2 of this engine coming anytime soon.
We are no longer posting HP numbers because of the controversy and the raw power/performance speaks for itself. Compared to a signature series 34cc reed you can expect about 20% more power. We did not release this engine until we felt there was enough of a power difference to justify the difference in cost and offering another engine. All of our porting is done in-house on our CNC mill and hand finished. Final prep and assembly is done by our master tech's with over 50 years combined experience.
The highlight of this engine is a USA made full billet stroker crankshaft and long rod. We're proud to be the first to offer a crankshaft rivaling in quality/materials to 1:1 racing applications. Cranks are CNC turned and milled from S7 shock resistant tool steel in Michigan by Turtle Racing. We opted for the smaller G290 sized lower connecting rod bearing because we've seen less wear and issues with the smaller bearing.
All of our billet case engines are USA made by Turtle Racing as well from 6061aircraft grade billet aluminum. Besides the anodizing we've completely revamped our reed case. Between dyno and flow bench testing we were able to significantly increase velocity to the point of being able to stuff in our 46/47cc reed valve. They will come standard with a WT reed valve and there will be an optional reed for the larger HDA-223, HDA-48, WJ-71 etc
Marine conversion for our G290 based reed cases. This ignition plate can be swapped with the air cooled fan cover to convert our G290 based reed engines. Kit comes with ignition plate, hardware, coil spacers and engine mount spacers. A CY marine flywheel and coil must be used. The starter pawls needs to be machined on a CY flywheel to accept a Zenoah EZ start.
