Stage 1 porting (formerly known as full mod) is our production CNC porting. They're tuned for a good balance of torque and rpm. Porting is mild compared to a signature series/Jethro or MBRX. 

Stage 2 porting/Signature series are ported more aggressively than stage 1 and there's a significant jump in power. This is the top-of-the-line engine that we build. Addition CNC machining is done to the cylinder, piston and they come with a special set of billet transfer port plates. Custom porting is available on any stage 2/signature series engine upon request at no additional charge. 

Jethro Edition 34cc reed engines are designed for off-road track racing with a Losi 5ive-T or 5ive-B. The Brian Schapiro signature series Jethro 34FR has been in development for over eight years. The heart of the engine is a full circle +2mm stroker crankshaft, forged connecting rod and billet aluminum reed case. This combination offers maximum performance with the ultimate in durability. 

It started with pushing the limits with speed runs with an HPI Baja. I needed an engine that had great bottom end and mid range torque that was able to scream with big RPM on top. We were the first large scale car to run 95+mph with a motor under 35cc. At the same time I started racing a 4wd Losi. I needed the same results from my engine. OBR and myself have thousands of hours into product development on the track and on the dyno. Numerous podium finishes, race wins and National championships. The Jethro 34FR edition signature series does it all very well. Whether you run a Losi, Vekta or Baja you can expect massive bottom end torque that will throw gobs of earth and dirt while on its way to peak RPM. The combination of this engine matched with the 1242A carburetor OBR pipe is sure to wake up any large scale rc. Whether you are racing for points and time or bashing in the park... the Jethro edition 34FR gets the job done very well. For years the Jethro edition has been held exclusively for team drivers. The Pre-eminence, Excellence, Abundance and Overflowing power is now available to everyone.
